Breakout Session 2: Graph meets Machine Learning

    Karin Patenge
    Sr. Principal Product Manager, Oracle

Graph technologies, including Graph Machine Learning, are beneficial in analyzing the relationships and behavior of entities in a network. For many use cases however, such as in health care or financial compliance, analysts, investigators, or doctors often only have access to critical unstructured information in text documents. This requires to train a Natural Language Processing pipeline to automatically transform documents like Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR) used in banks into knowledge graphs that capture all the relevant entities and relationships from the text. Subsequently, Machine Learning models are used to help identifying fraudulent activities or recommending treatment choices.
